Live for the first season

Morgan Manifacier

sxrmsessions#13/first season

Morgan is a hard-working folk musician, always trying to play everywhere in Europe or the Usa, where he currently resides. Actually, he is the first musician who directly contacted us to play in the Sexroom, and we had fun shooting his session, with his nice cover of Katy Perry’s “Hot’n’cold”.

Morgan Manifacier is a singer-songwriter who grew up in a little town of the south of France. He started piano and guitar when he was a kid, learning by himself the beauty of music. After graduation, he decided to go and study in California for a whole year. There, he and his guitar have won a place at the front of coffee shops throughout the Valley, where he wooed crowds in two languages with his soft, crooning voice, a sort of young, French Sondre Lerche. Two years ago, he released his first EP called “The seed became a tree”, still available on itunes, recorded at the Modesto Sound Studio in California. This was done with the help of Travis and Taylor Vick, two major Californian artists. Morgan has just finished writing and recording his debut album, by himself, trying to find quiet places within the crowd of his campus, in Oakland, where he studies music. This album speaks about solitude, travelling, death, love, and everything he has been through during these long years. In other words, this is a “shout out” album. It is named after his grandfather’s last name, “Grande”, as it represents the only shed Morgan had during his childhood.
