We’ve known Dani for a few years now! Frontman of the great Gas Drummers, the man started a solo career in late 2009 with the release of his first album “Speaking thru the others”. Third appearance in Clermont-Ferrand, it was about time we had him in the Sexroom! “Dust” was shot during Europavox festival 2010.
We discovered this dutch guy through mutual friends. Punk rock as hell with a folky spirit, a rough voice, straight to the point lyrics & melodies that talk to you and me. We needed no more to beg him to stop by the sexroom during his long and exhausting tour, promoting his first album “road sweet road”.
We had never heard about Declan before seeing him live. The whole audience was totally moved by this big and strong Irish man with an incredibly powerful and high pitched voice! He couldn’t miss the sexroom while he was in town, and we had the chance to record this beautiful accapela unreleased song!
This man came out of nowhere and blew everyone away with his soft voice, gentle melodies and magical string picking! “Tornadoes” is the perfect example of what he does, and there’s no doubt about the success of his future musical career… Be sure to pick up his first Ep called “Everyone goes home in October” before he becomes a cult hero.
To start the new season, we’ve chosen the lovely people from Holmes! One of us organized a gig for them in Clermont-Ferrand during their fall tour 2009, for the release of their new album entitled “Wolves”. We couldn’t let the Swedish leave without coming to the sexroom, where they played their folk anthem “We’re getting older”.
